The Georgia Santa Gertrudis Association concentrates on breed promotion Locally, Statewide as well as on the national level. Participating in The Ga Beef Expo, Moultrie Ag Expo and the Mountain Laurel Classic, the association feels that "getting the word out" to both the commercial and purebred breeder is essential to the livelihood of our breed. A strong emphasis is placed on our Junior Association and the "Gang" has created a purebred herd in which all of the offspring from the herd are sold at the Mt Laurel each year with the funds being donated directly to the Ga Jr.'s to fund projects and to help cover the costs involved with the NJSGHS held annually.
